Fewest Slices Of Bacon Used To Make A Bacon Explosion

5 slices

Clint Cantwell and his team from Smoke In Da Eye BBQ used just five slices of bacon to make a Bacon Explosion, a new world record. They crumbled together two slices of Oscar Mayer bacon and 1/8 of a pound of Jimmy Dean sausage, and then wrapped it all inside a woven roll made from three bacon slices cut into tiny strips. The resulting Explosion was 4 1/2 inches long and 1/8 inch thick.

The record was set on May 19, 2009 in Green Lane, Pennsylvania.

Looks delicious. However I doubt that the measurement of 1/8" thickness is anywhere near accurate. :-P

You're correct Eratosthenes. It should read 1 1/4 inches wide/thick.
