Pushing the limits of both blood circulation and neck strength, Opus Moreschi tied a whopping 97 neckties around his neck at once, a new universal record. The ties, which featured everything from cartoon characters to corporate logos, weighed a combined total of 7.4 pounds.

Moreschi's daring feat was performed on February 11, 2009 at a World Record Appreciation Society event at Pianos, a New York City bar. His face turned slightly purple as he set the record, forcing witnesses Corey Henderson and Kate Sullivan to periodically check his pulse.

Brian Pankey threw a bowling ball onto his forehead, balanced it, rolled to the back of his neck and then popped it back to the front of his body 12 times in one minute.
